 Thanks for the many great comments.

I've only had this wonderful f/2.8 lens for a short time, and really enjoyed using it for this shallow DOF challenge. The hard part was reaching to get the one leaf I wanted to focus on to be in the same vertical plane as the berries relative to the lens, and holding that position until the sun came out again without falling into the roadside ditch!

It sort of reminds me of washing on a line, but that analogy does not do it justice, because it a lovely and delicate image. In my top lineup at the moment. 9

Great photograph. Tone, light and DOF are effectively mastered in this image. You have chosen a very appropriate tile as the overall feeling of this image truly says "Winter" all day. The hint of sunlight on the one branch to the right is a pleasant little surprise that may be over looked by some.

I really like this photo because it's been done outdoors but for me it has the feeling of studio photo. The background is completely difussed and grey, very nice !

I do think this is my favorite in the challenge. Title fits it perfectly, light is marvelous, natural framing/composition is lovely. This would make a beautiful print!
