This is my very first entry, I don't expect too much from it but I'm quite happy with my shot, considering I haven't been doing this very long. I chose to go with less of a literal interpretation of "garbage", while still being a "not-so-appealing" subject.

All critique welcomed, thanks :)

Yes, very good shot. I really like the muted tones.

You should enter more challenges! :) Exceptional work here. I didn't vote in this challenge for some reason, but I would have given you an 7.

I did a similar shot recently, I like the mixed focus on this one though, pay attention to details.

I like the idea but the bottle looks too posed. I would have preferred it lying down with the lid off, possibly with the contents spilling onto the table.

I guess you've focussed on the challenge description, "turn garbage into art this week by taking an appealing photo of a generally not-so-appealing subject"... however, the challenge title is "garbage" and this isn't a photograph of garbage. I love people coming up with creative interpretations of challenge themes, but in this case I don't think it fits. Sorry! :-7

Are you referring to the vomit as the garbage? I see this as more of a statement about youth or something, not really garbage.

Still, technically a very nice shot.

Love this idea and it's technically a good shot (nice dof, clear focus, nice tones and light) but the fact that there is still alcohol in the bottle suggests he's not done with it, which means it's not garbage yet. Shame, as otherwise I love the shot; it just really should have been an empty bottle to fit the challenge. The quality of the shot still warrants a 6, I'd have rated higher were it not for the bottle being unfinished.

hmmm, not sure that bottle is garbage yet, i mean who throws out a bottle that still has several shots of Jack still in it... hell no lol.. so on that grounds this probably DNMC.. nice well taken piccy though :) .. I would have given this an 8 but as there is a distinct lack of garbage (and i personally wouldn't count the poor lads vomit), just a 5 from me.
