How's that for sharpness, DOF, bokeh from a Sigma lens? BG is natural.

Nope, Scooter97, not my lap, was blocking my way! They look very belligerent and often are, especially if they come into regular human contact as this was shot in a sanctuary and thus "Nature" not "Wildlife" :)

Wow, I can't believe you were able to get that close. We had a pair of them living in our garden for 2 summers and this is the closest I was able to get:


They can get pretty aggressive, especially when there are eggs around. Gave me quite a problem when I had trees I needed to water near their "nest".

Sadly they abandoned us this summer. I really miss them.

fantastic image! but the little guy looks a tad dirty.. her needs a bath... lol colors are sharpness/clearity are great!

Almost, I was on my knees begging him to let me past a narrow path and he wouldn't budge so I inched forward till I got the portrait...
