Just checking if I have commented on this image and I didn't! Sitting by the campfire is one of my favorite things to do! Great image!
PS I would be more likely to hold a glass of wine or beer but then how do we know what is in your tea mug? ;)

Very reflective, and biblical. Hope you didn't put your foot in it ;) Congrats.

A nice camp fire draws in the eyes and spirit, even if you don't want it to. Congrats on portraying that quality so well and the great finish.

Your self portraits are doing pretty well lately. It looks three shots of this model this month. Each with interesting personality and each in the top 10. Congratulations on another fascinating image.

Thanks for reminding me - I'm going on a trip into the bush again this year. Big tree stumps burning right through the night, with hours of staring into the fire [and worrying a bit about the hyenas - hehe].

Congrats on the TOP 10! I really like this shot. From the composition to the emotion, and processing. I believe the photograph is better than the score it received.

You look like you are sitting awfully close to that fire. :) What a great idea for a light source. Beautiful capture of the light. Love the deep thought mode being shown here.

The burning bush effect is great. I also can appreciate the calm folger's-commercialesque "best part of waking up" calmness of the figure- holding the cup and saying "ahhhh nothing like a roaring bush fire!" (2 feet from me!)

Fantastic! Love the silhouette of the bush/branch in front of the fire - that just makes the image

This looks like such a different fellow from the one on the bench with the umbrella. Very pensive and gentle.

At first I had to stop and think if a campfire was truly artificial, but since it isn't sun or moonlight, I guess it is. It's probably my favorite image in the challenge. ;) 8
