I love how this throws into question what we come to expect of a window. For everything that this window reveals, nothing is clearly stated or understood. Excellent.

Spooky! I hope that is an eye I am seeing :)

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Well, you have stopped me for long enough to drop one of these comments upon you and I DO like the fact that you have challenged us with this image... Now that you have me, I find the eye fascinating - like a glimpse of ET frozen in a stasis chamber!

Critical stuff: I find the colour noise ugly and all though the image is somewhat compelling, it is nonetheless difficult to like.

Overall: Always pleased to see people sticking challenging images into Free Studies so thanks for that.

Great image. Love the color and blur. Didn't quite make my 10's but you do get a 9

It took me awhile to understand what I was looking at; it’s close to a pure abstraction. I like the flow of the hand below the eye and the contemplative feel.

a frightening image with secret riches.

For some reason this reminds me of a fish. Could be the 'flow' of the image....I like the use of curved lines.

This is just a horrid mess. If you were going for last place, you got it from me. If you were serious about competing, you've got a lot of work to do.

The all seeing eye. This is mysterious. The grain/texture work well here.

Not really a big fan of abstracts but on second look this one really did catch my "eye" Glad I came back to it. Bumped the score up a little as well.

Very nice use of grain and blur. My first impression is of a person who is worried watching out their window for a loved one to return. The colors are just edgy enough to add to this feeling.

In abstracts such as this, we try to grasp at something to make sense of it all. We search the archives for hints of familiarity at the shapes, follow the direction of the blurs, investigate the tiny shards of sharpness scattered throughout. I love this sort of exploration because suddenly, from the midst of chaos, rises an eye, a glance, a profound emotion. This is brilliant.

It is an abstract... but a boring one... Sorry!

I wish I understood your photography better. You have a very distinctive style. For now, it's just well over my head.

Gotta be jmritz. On one hand, I appreciate that you have a style and stick with it... but I have to admit that this type of entry does absolutely nothing for me. I'm sure there are those who appreciate this kind of thing as abstract art, but to me it looks like an accident as the camera was dropped off a shelf in the dark or something. Sorry...

Sorry but abstract work has never appealed to me and there is absolutely nothing going on in this image that relates in any way to me, to me it´s just a blurry mess, just thought I´d at least explain why I gave this a 1.
