This isn't bad, but the white is a bit distracting. Considering the book, I'd have liked a darker image, with some sense of decay to hint at the post-apocalyptic nature of the story.

I like the idea and the exposure, but I have a little critique in that I'm not sure (as a viewer) if I'm supposed to consider where the two HAVE gone or where the WILL go together. It seems like one or the other is being suggested here, but since the subjects are placed so near the vertical center I'm not sure. Maybe I'm supposed to consider past, present and future? It very well might be just me, either way I do like what you have here.
