This is my first entry to dpchallenge!!

It was much more difficult than I thought. I do not have a macro lens, so I was left with the option of rotating my 50mm around and hold it that way while I shot. Two of my college buddies helped me out. One was the model and the other dripped the water in hopes of it catching on Steve's eyelashes. I must say it was a lot harder to get the water to stay on his eyelashes than I thought! Most of the water droplets would just drip right off. I am pretty happy with the final outcome even though it is a little different than I first imagined it. For those who are wondering, I used a single studio light with a large softbox as the light source.

After this endeavor I will be investing in a macro lens which should help make the whole process a lot easier.

I hope you like it.

Thanks,
Jim

This might be more effective in B/W.

Nice shot. Not sure about the crop though.

Great detail captured but I think it might be better if it was cropped a little bit more on the right.

Nicely set up. Nice and clean.

I think the tear is a hair out of focus though (pun intended...please forgive me and everyone else who couldn't resist). The skin under the eye is in focus though, which is distracting. Perhaps the pink field is a bit too expansive.

Nice example of a slightly over used idea
