Working cowboy, working horse, at the Sombrero Stables.

[Feb. 4th, 2012 01:35:12 PM]

I like the clarity of this image. Just a slightly obtuse angle to the sun. I'll try that again in the future. Score has been falling in the past two days. Yeah, I know it's not a cat or a dog.

Evidently, a horse is not a pet to some people. Not fair.

9 votes under "5" with no indication as to why. I don't care if people don't like the image, but I'd like some feedback from those who are handing out really low votes on a fairly good image.

This is the REAL thing! Working relationship = trust, love, respect..for both horse and rider. I love the drape in the rein! Bran new reins, just for the shot? LOL

I think a working animal has a different type of affection for it's owner than a regular pet, not to say that a 'pet' pet doesn't trust it's owner implicitly but an animal that works alongside it's owner has a different relationship, another level of trust and they become very in-sync. This is a lovely example. Beautiful horse; a bright shot with clear focus and nice colours. I do wish the fellow's feet weren't cropped off but I'm a stickler for chopped hands/fingertips/feet/toes. Very good overall, best of luck!

Very nice, the photo works well with its title, which means it is telling the story it set out to tell. :)
