 Happy New Year:) "The Joker" on the left is actually yawning :) What a life!
Cheetah brothers taken at HESC two weeks before the worst floods since 2000. Hoedspruit was declared a disaster area. Kruger national Park was closed bar one entrance and suffered much damage. Thankfully no life was lost, and animals appeared to know before hand and took to higher ground. Excellent SANParks management, professional team, communication and preparedness! They even used their own helicopter to evacuate guests and the SANDF also got stuck in rescuing.

It's termed "Nature" for the purists because of where they were shot, free roaming but in captivity. They are bred here for eventual release back into the wild.

oh harvey ... this is such a wonderful image .. i love it when a photograph makes me smile, laugh, cry, .. feel something .. !! .. .. and catching that face at just that time .. excellent .. congrats on the 6th place .. :) ..
think i'll make this a fav just so i can have a dose of 'smile' when i need it .. !! ..:)

Wonderful shot! Terrific finish as well. lol I knew the guy on the left was yawning. We have 3 brothers at our local Zoo and I've seen this action before.
