Well, this is unexpected, I do like this photo a lot, but never thought it would make such a good score in a Best Of, with so many excellent photographs here. Sitting now with 6.84+, my best for a best of challenge.

Also, pretty delighted with the comments, people are just too kind :)

I like the subtle colors in this, and that almost nothing is straight. It almost looks like the elders walking across the water to the meeting house.

Zen or armageddon. Perhaps the two are closely intertwined. The lilac coloring is divine. Definitely adds to the overall stillness.

Line of wood posts stitch
together the lavender
silk of sky and sea.

The imagery in the photo is pure visual haiku. Love the pale purple/blue hues that flow serene from sky to sea. The wooden posts are the leading lines that stitch together the fabric of heaven and water. Very lovely!
