    Biography: Hi there,

    My name is Eric. I'm a 25 year old native of Portland, OR, and I currently teach English in a small town in Nagasaki, Japan. I'm on my third and last year here before I head back to the states.

    I picked up photography only about a year ago, and I've been working hard at it ever since. I use it as an excuse to travel and as a kind of therapy. In that sense, I am drawn mostly to landscapes, animals, night photography, and the occasional street photography.

    All my photos are taken on my D5000 and cheap Nikon DX lenses. While of course I would like more and better equipment, I am financially restrained, and so far I love the equipment I have. I do all my postprocessing in Lightroom 3, mostly because I have been too cheap and lazy to buy and learn photoshop. Most of my edits are minimal, thought I'm trying to learn more.
