Biography: I am a commercial, editorial and advertising photographer who specializes in portraiture, you know, the really dramatic, cinematic and emotional kind or so I’m told. I also make films and jump on and off of things for a living. Yeah, parkour. Cool, eh?

I've been into photography for as long as I can remember. My first cameras were a Polaroid and a crap ton of disposable ones. My most fond childhood memory is that of my parents filming and photographing every waking moment of my existence. I guess that’s where this addiction all began. Blame them.

Even though I occasionally make my bed in Pittsburgh, I'm usually passed out on someones couch or floor in some random city, camped out in the woods, on a rooftop or outside of sketchy apartment complexes in the Bronx.

When I'm not working on commercial projects, I'm usually traveling the world, meeting interesting people, learning about, experiencing and photographing those people and their cultures, being really broke, exploring and then jumping off the things I've explored. Did I mention about being really broke?

I try to focus my free time on creating personal projects, both photo and film, in hopes to inspire or educate others. I feel like we're obligated to strive for positive change even if what we're doing would only affect a single individual. Though possible but not probable, Andrew Obenreder hopes to change the world, one photograph at a time. He also wanted to finish his bio in third person, as he finds writing in third person quite bizarre.
