    Biography: I've always shot 35MM as long as I can remember. My first camera was a Minolta match-needle I bought from Spiegel. I then had a Pentax ME; a Minolta XD7; another Minolta (forgot the model); and finally a Nikon N50. I made the "leap" to digital with the launch of the Sony Mavica FD-91. I then bought a Canon S40, Nikon D70 and finally got my Nikon D90..

    Digital gives me the flexibility I never had, nor could afford with film. I've re-discovered photography again with digital.

    Voting - Here's how I vote: Everyone starts with a 5 in my mind. I then decide if the picture deserves higher or lower than an average "grade." Make me laugh, make me think, make me wonder how I can do that too if you want me to give you a higher score. Simple as that.

    One last thing ... I'm more of a purist when it comes to my photography. Even though I use Photoshop to touch up some of my shots, I generally do not over-use it when creating my images like I've seen some do.
