    Biography: In December 1997 my wife bought me a Sony DSC-F1 Digital Camera. It was great fun. It took decent pictures but it did not have a zoom and had a limited resolution. Fine enough for posting pictures on the web and sending digital emails but you cannot make very large prints. Also, it only has internal storage so you had to be close to either my home computer or bring along the laptop on trips. Nonetheless, it was a great first foray into the digital arena and I enjoyed it a lot.

    A few years ago, I bought a Canon G-1 and that had enough quality to make decent photographs. The next year we got a Canon Powershot S400 which was very handy to carry around.

    In April of 2005 I got the Canon Digital Rebel XT and I felt like I had returned home to my SLR roots.

    Goals
    * Find a competition I can enter Found one for "Failure"
    An o.k. entry but I didn’t prepare the picture well enough for the contest
    * Score over 5 Just barely but over
    * Score over 6, etc.
    * Be in the top half in a challenge
    * Win a ribbon or honorable mention
    * Get more comments
    * Sell some photos -- First sale on 8/27/06 (sold another copy of one of my Point of Rocks Station pictures Jan. '08)
