some may sayby TinyComment by SaraR: I thought this entry very good - both in terms of the challenge and as a stand alone photo. I particularly liked the way the young man moved his body to avoid physical contact. |

Gandhi’s Wigby TinyComment by CNovack: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the light streaming into this coffee shop and the two men lost in thought in the scene! One sits at the table on the left, head resting in hand, coffee mug waiting on the table, lost in thought. The man sitting in the armchair to the right has his hand cupped to his chin lost in thought looking at the paper in his hand. Then there seems to be a third party who is missing. A tray with a coffee mug and creamer sits on the tabletop in the forefront as if we/the viewer are just now returning to the table. I really love how this is just a slice of life with the muted duotones strengthening the contemplative mood captured here! I have to admit I don' quite get how the title connects to the imagery unless that is the name of the cafe...given that my first thoughts on seeing the image was, lost in thought, give pause (for thought), and on second thought (because of the two men lost in thought) |
