I like the layout of the components, but your editing did not work for me. The purple overlay is confusing and lowers the contrast to the point of muddyness. The crisp machined look that i can sort of make out in your lighting gets lost.

seems a bit dark. I like the hierarchy of the objects. I'm not sure the reflections are helping in this case, they seem to make almost a double exposure effect on the pistol.

One would have to assume you used something to cover the camera to perform the shot. My question is if it caused the discoloration? The gun not being there for the last part of the shot (assumption) hurt it a little but made the shot simpler to do.

If you ever get an off camera flash you can accomplish this again by shooting in total darkness and firing the flash off the ceiling once for the two "exposures".
