Duo Maxwellby AmiYuyComment by CLarson557: Nice picture. The lighting is nice...good for B&W. I'm a person that likes eyes, so I'm not too keen on the sunglasses, but that's just me. If they was a more interesting reflection (perhaps a circle?) on them, I would probably feel differently. It seems to me like the picture should be rotated at the bottom to the left just a couple of degrees. Now, as I'm looking at the picture closer, I'm realizing that the person is looking out a circular opening in the wall. AHH!! Perhaps the picture should have been taken a little bit more behind the person to possibly see more of the opening for this challenge. |

Duo Maxwellby AmiYuyComment by bledford: Not really seeing a circle, but I'll give you the benefit of doubt. The subject is interesting and has attitude, but the hat and the position of the hands seems unnatural. Also, taking an engaging photo of someone wearing dark sunglasses is difficult. Next time, perhaps try to incorporate something with similar style that allows us to see the eyes. |

Irene 2by AmiYuyComment by SJCarter: A little forced (expression), but otherwise, phenomenal shot! The angle and composition are great. The color & lighting are also good. It looks like the wind was a little strong (making some of her hair strands go astray), but I think this is a definite keeper for the portfolio (along with #1). Very nice model - not too ethnic & not too wholesome... It may sound strange & perhaps a bit bigotted (but believe me, it's not meant that way), but I think this model has a universal appeal that is very hard to come by these days. Use her as much as possible for both of your benefit!
Great series... I enjoyed looking at them and I can tell you enjoyed taking the shots (which I believe is more than 1/2 of the battle when it comes to "sellable" shots).
Nice job! |

Ireneby AmiYuyComment by SJCarter: Smile really appears forced in this shot - not the best of the bunch, but still worthwhile because it has a lot of good qualities - the composition and cropping are excellent. I just think that the model's expression detracts from anything you could probably do to improve this shot. (Sorry, just my HUMBLE OPINION.) |

Natural Smileby AmiYuyComment by SJCarter: WOW! What a great smile! Your model really knows how to work her expressions for the camera. It appears very genuine and wholesome. It's a little washed out in B/W (not sure what color would be like), but I think you could remedy that by turning up the contrast a bit - perhaps even adding a layer of gaussian blur at about 75% transparency. (Just a new trick that I learned recently that adds a LOT to photos - sorry if it seems elementary, but I'm not very facile with MS Digital Image Suite yet.)

Heyby AmiYuyComment by SJCarter: GREAT shot! I love the colors, the angle, and the lighting. Really a unique and engaging image. Hats off to you for coming up with a truly unique view on a beautiful model. She seems to like the camera, so if I were you, I'd try to work with her again. My only negative comment would be that perhaps you could turn up the contrast (not sure that's what I really mean) or something to make it less washed-out in appearance. Honestly, it's difficult to make suggestions on this one - it's really unique & quite attractive. |

Yes?by AmiYuyComment by frisca: cute composition and expression on her face, but the blown out highlights on her shirt really detract. Something softer by way of lighting might have worked better. :) |

Yes?by AmiYuyComment by bcoble: Im do not really like the green hair up against the green grass, and the loss of definition in her blouse and her hair disappearing into the tree. Good model. |

Yes?by AmiYuyComment by nfessel: the fifth 10 I've given in this challenge. Well deserved. Excellent expression and great angle for this shot. She is very pretty and I love the green hair. :) |

Yes?by AmiYuyComment by sfalice: wonder if the costume is a bit bleached out. of course the hair and circlet tend to take the viewer away from all else... |
