Just a Light on an alleyby mercolinoComment by jim300: Hey, this my very first comment on one of these so take it with a grain of salt okay?
I really like the light effect in the foreground on the post, the water, the bowl and the reflection; this is all very nice.
I DON'T like the "light in the alley", with its blur. I would have rather seen no light over there (I know that is the title!) and a blurred doorway. It is like it takes away from the look in the foreground. Maybe just me!
Have no idea how to vote, remember it's my first time. Thanks for submitting yourself to this!..:) |

We failed to eradicate poverty....by mercolinoComment by ericwoo: Excellent portrayal of a failing society, but I don't think WE are the failure. I eradicated poverty from my family. I like your vantage point, but the two bottom trees are somewhat distracting. |

Water or Brandy?by mercolinoComment by Claya: Pretty nicely done, just needs some sort of lighting/fill from the back to give bottle and glasses some edge separation from background. |

Cattleya Mossiaeby mercolinoComment by trnqlty: Watch those hightlights, you've completely lost detail right in the center. Always expose for the highlights and then bring the shadows back in post processing. You can't bring back a highlight because the camera has no information to begin with. |
