This was a neat idea. I like the way the pattern of the afghan acts as a filter for the light. I don't care for this odd cropping however. It is also a bit small. I'd like to see more of the fuzzy texture from the throw. This is worth trying again.

great colors! maybe a slight toplight could've helped see the texture a little better

I just love this image. The best part is to see something so common viewed though such a new lens (so to speak). The colors and the crop also caught my eye. Good job.

This is really nice. If it doesn't give you too much noise, you might try adding some contrast or using unsharp mask at a high pixel radius and low percentage to saturate the colors more and add even more definition to this lovely pattern. Very interesting and engaging subject. Good focus. 8

Vety nice concept. Perhaps if you could have used a lightsource at a low angle you would have been able to create an image with more depth to it.

Wonderful artistic picture. The rust feather looks lovely on the turquoise background - it's the perfect color combination.

I think this would look better in portrait mode, making it seem more like a rose standing up, instead of a caterpillar.

Any time someone sees more in an object than the obvious and shows it to others the way they see it, I am appreciative. Good shot. Might have used a bit more contrast and rotate 90 degrees to the right, but still good.
