Back to comment: An interesting take on the challenge, shooting nature against an urban background. However, the lighting on the flowers is really not that good, as the flowers tend to blend into the background. Even if the flowers would have been shot during a different time a day with better light, the subject you choose still would not have scored very well at DPC for it is not all that interesting in itself.

The flowers and clouds are nice. The cars in the background are not helping though. You might have tried a lower angle for the shot to keep them out of it. Always pay attention to the background when you try to compose a picture. That helps me!

A good idea and a good title but the lighting is poor.
Even if I boost the brightness on my monitor the figure inside is still too dark.

Overall, I really like this photo. It has a lot of character. But I can't discern what is being framed by the window. I've come back several times yesterday and today to get a fresh look, but just can't see it. Thus, in my humble opinion, it did not meet the challenge as I understood it. I do think it's a great photo, tho.

I really like this composition but would have liked to have a slightly better look at the figure in the shot, however it does work the figure as is looks spooky, nice idea
