The Undersideby dwolffComment by mpeters: Hi from the Critique Club...
This will be a bit of a freewheeling critique which is a departure from the norm for me and my previous CC comments. Here goes...
Your composition is nice with the rule of thirds observed in a good way. I like the different POV as we still see most flowers looking down at them. The OOF BG shapes and patterns are very well done. Your lighting seems well diffused and non directional leaving a very pleasant colors and tones to this image.
My main critisism is the your focus choice. IMHO i feel like the focus would have worked better had it been on the center of the flower as opposed to the petal on the LH side. This would help draw the viewers eye through the pretty OOF petals in the foreground, pause on the sharply focused center and then wander around the OOF BG which is one of the nicest parts of this pic.
Overall, considering this came straight from the camera, well above avg in terms of lighting, sharpness, color, and composition. Good job!
PM me with any questions or comments and keep em coming!
Cheers,
Mark |

Wanna Play?by dwolffComment by Marc923: This has potential to be a great shot. Needs it bit more light and sharper focus. |

Wanna Play?by dwolffComment by sea2c: Good pic. Too bad about the complete lack of light. It looks like you tried to brighten it up and get some contrast to bring him out, but in so doing you burned your background edges on the trees. |

Natures Colorsby dwolffComment by gloda: Your image lacks a pint of focus. There is no element the eye can concentrate on, and so your image results in a colourful chaos without composition. 3. |
