Triptychby pablotolaComment by mhoogendyk: This kept grabbing me and I couldn't figure out why. After I studied it for awhile, I suddenly realized that the subject matter behind the frame becomes almost secondary in nature, except for the perspective lines set up by the bricks, rails and sidewalks. With them tied into it, the subject matter is the overpowering shape and colors of the frame itself. The clarity (focus) and contrasting black above the arches with the red wood frames themselves combine to draw you into what is behind them - even though what is behind them is not all that interesting without them. Nicely done. |

Triptychby pablotolaComment by fredluvsHim: I would've maybe put some type of focal point in between the parallel lines. Right now, my eye goes all around the picture, and not to the "vanishing" sidewalk as I think that you were meaning it to be. Otherwise, great capture. |

Road to the pastby pablotolaComment by dwolff: Almost missed the track because my focus was inside the car. I like how it adds a frame inside your picture. Maybe would have liked it better if you had cropped a little closer to the back of the train side windows are distracting. 8 |
