If this is Fort Ord you should ahve found a cell by a window for some natural lighting....anything to avoid that obvious harsh flash with the shadows that take us out of the mood. Nice clothes for an inmate! |

Lines of Justiceby JusticeComment by phreakon: You could have done a much better job with the lighting in this photo. It looks like you just grabbed a snapshot with a short exposure and a bright flash, then cropped it to look nicer. The flash ruined this. The bars are way too peaky in the center, and then have a distracting shadow on the back wall. The right lighting can really add to the mood of the photo, and the wrong lighting can ruin it completely. |

If the subject can hold really still for a second a long exposure without flash might yield better results. |
