Greetings from the Critique Club.

First impressions are that this shot is a pleasure to view.

Technically it is great. Lighting is good, the light trails are perfect, composition is good.

Artistically this is also good as we see plenty of interest in what the man is doing.

In summary a good solid shot that didn't score as high as I'd have thought but it does lack a little of the required excitement that DPC needs.

I just love welding photos and this is really good! I entered one in the last Heat challenge and it got decidedly snubbed. I would have had this one on the front page -- but the voters obviously disagree with us about what makes a cool heat photo, don't they!

I had a similar shot of my own that I had considered for this challenge, but bringing out the details from the darkness created more noise than I wanted to have in a challenge entry. Yours is nice and clear. Good job on this.

Wow someone has a wicked imagination. I think you could perhaps have bumped the saturation a bit.
