It really doesn't work with the rest of the shot. If it were me, I would also clone out the blemishes on her right arm. |

My only problem is the back eye is out of focus. |

DSC_2344aB&W.jpgby carisakD70Comment by Nusbaum: This is a very fun shot, but I think the high key aspect has put the focus on your photography rather than on the subject's appearance and character. This wouldn't be a problem, but in your request for comments you stated that these are senior portraits. When I look at this particular image I want to see the models eyes and I want to see the dress. |

DSC_2333a.jpgby carisakD70Comment by Nusbaum: Hope you don't mind me picking on this a bit, but you did ask for advice.
First I picked this images because I think the lighting is very well done. Nice catch lights in her eyes. The hairlight is not overpowering. There is a decent depth to the shadows.
I do think there are a couple of things you could do to help with the pose:
- the right arm reaching back widens her where she does not need to be wider.
- the top of her right arm being so far forward hides her neck and the top of her chest. A little more open here would have added depth to the image.
- i believe her left arm was up and positioned behind her head. Her arm showing in front of her neck widens her again and leaves we wondering what happened to her arm.
These aren't major problem, but once you reach this level the details really start to count. |
