Beautiful Poutby jmooreComment by kevrobertson: Fantastic image.
If i had to be picky...
I feel that the crop should be tighter or wider. I just feel that the loss of the left foot makes it look strange.
But this is minor.
Still a 9 from me.
Great work.

sunbathingby jmooreComment by LalliSig: I have a hard time saying anything about this shot as I find it neither good or bad. I like the light coming through the trees, I would have voted higher if it had stronger contrast. 5 from me. |

sunbathingby jmooreComment by witam: I like how you took this shot against the light up, so you see the light outlines more than the actual structure of the wood. This helps in keeping the trees on the right to be secondary viewing point and bring the attention to the branches to the left. They are lighter and different from the rest of the shot. However i would have cropped it a bit more on the left because that cut of piece of the tree attracts more attention than it should in my opinion. It actually detracts from the branches. Removing it would help bring out the branches more and also leave more space for the beautifully captured light. (score = 7) |

sunbathingby jmooreComment by TCGuru: I love this processing! Some people are probably going to say it is too dark the the top right hand but, after I voted, I looked at this for a while before posting a comment... I must say, I think you got it just right... the dark really contrasts well with the lights filtering down onto the tree stump and snow bringing it forward... sorry this is so long :D BUT FABULOUS PHOTOGRAPH! |

Beauty and the Beastby jmooreComment by digitalknight: I think conceptually this is the best in the challenge - and photographically it's very close too.
Great set up and really great thought went into this.
I understand being frustrated with the masses not seeing my vision - I've decided a check is better than a ribbon, and art directors and photo buyers giving defined "challenges" beats the vagueness here. I could go on, PM me if you really care. ;-)
But you ARE a great photographer, and ARE a great artist - the tantrum alone tells me about the artist part! :-) (having thrown a few myself).
So smile - yours is worthy of a gallery - something that I can't say for any of the front page IMO. |

Beauty and the Beastby jmooreComment by adyus: I personally like this shot, the flowing lines and contrast are really attractive.
I think photos like this one, while scoring low on conservative DPC, whould be much appreciated on deviantart.com, which, as the name implies, deals with art that "deviates" from regular rules. |

Beauty and the Beastby jmooreComment by Qart: A truly unique and imaginative approach to the challenge theme... works great. Perhaps the boot is a little lost in the background for me, a little dodge and burn would have helped I think... but otherwise one of the top entries... well done. |

Beauty and the Beastby jmooreComment by Anisaer: Love the tonal range (not too hard, but you still have great highlights and shadows), love the concept, and the emotion. Despite the shoes being inanimate, you have really given them a sense of individual personality. |
