This is a small nit, but for shots like this I always think the still life objects should be flawless, i.e., brand new. The nicks and scrapes are distracting.

Nice detail and lighting ... I find the empty space on the left to be distracting and unnecessary. I would suggest shooting diagonally or just make it a close up.

Voters in a "darkness" challenge will see this as an attempt to shoehorn a flower image into it. You probably picked a flower in poor condition to support the darkness theme but it wil come across as just a bad flower picture.

The image itself seeems just a touch oversharpened with a general yellow hue above and beyond its natural color. Detail in the center is lost and the tabletop being visible in the composition does not add strong support for the image.
