Branch Armorby ronaldibayComment by Jutilda: Interesting DOF. I find the big log/branch on the left a tad distracting. I might eliminate some of the dark green foliage in the background too. Maybe do a different crop and concentrate more on the spikey one. |

Branch Armorby ronaldibayComment by eschelar: Hmm. If I remember correctly, the presence of acacia (?) often indicates the presence of fire ants... Been a while since I've been to a beach like that though.
This pic is excellent. The only things I would like to see better would perhaps be the inclusion of more on the left and the focusing on the tip of a thorn instead of where the twig is broken.
Sweet colour though. |

Branch Armorby ronaldibayComment by Caine: I love the shape and 'pose' of this branch. A good find. But, the horizon bang on centre is unadvisable (think rule of thirds) the composition could be improved as the overlaying of elements and positions doesn't help their relation with each other. and the aperture should be closed an f-stop or more to broaden the focus along the whole of the 'armour branch'. |

Branch Armorby ronaldibayComment by macrothing: 8 - Very nice shot. Great color, texture on the sand, 'composition', natural too by the looks of it. Criticism; whilst I like that I can discern the sand, sharper focus on the 'branch', especially the 'points', would have made this a better shot in my opinion. Not sure, but seems the 'horizon'/balance needs a slight nudge up on the right hand side. Good, unusual capture of nature. |

Branch Armorby ronaldibayComment by bpcardona: I love the colors in this picture, but I would have scored higher if the focus was more on the stick then the sand just before it. |
