A day at the beachby ashoffComment by trevytrev: nice family shot but it seems that they could have been set up with less shadows crossing their faces. The pillar on the left is a bit distracting as well |

A day at the beachby ashoffComment by AmosDoyle: This is a good family snapshot. I think that a little more light thrown on the faces of the adults would help this one to become a beautiful soft family portrait. Cropping is good. Very good color. |

A day at the beachby ashoffComment by bassbone: a great looking family! the backlighting really seems to hurt us from being able to really see those great faces |

A day at the beachby ashoffComment by Simms: this would of been better cropped a bit closer. Also, a wee bit more fill in flash would of been beneficial or maybe using a reflector. 6 |

A day at the beachby ashoffComment by Nullix: Nice picture.
Another picture had the same problem this one does (and beach pictures are hard to do because of this). The background is lit better than your subjects (the people). Your subject have some pretty harsh shadows.
Check out some tips on taking beach pictures.
Good luck. |

A day at the beachby ashoffComment by Camabs: Nice family portrait. I especially like it that you did not take the picture exactly from the front of the family, it adds some depth to the picture. I don't like the familt being partly in the shade. I'dd rather see them in the shade entirely, or in the sun. Now their faces are pretty dark relative to their white sun-exposed shirts. Furthermore, there is a 'thingy' in your image (right below) (5) |
