Flaming Hibiscusby MagauvainComment by Anachronite: nice DOF... the brightness might need to be turned down a but.. or try darkening the color channel a bit... sometimes thats tough to do with glare.. I am finding that doing it a little a time time in different layers seems to help with this problem |

Flaming Hibiscusby MagauvainComment by PTLParsons: Another one that with the leaves looks alive, but the texture says is wilting some. Wish I knew which. Looks like the bugs got to the leaves also. Would have picked a differend flower or cropped that out. Also would have cropped out the empty black on the other side. Would have been much better with just the bloom stnding alone. As it is there appears to be part of the plant missing, but probably just hidden by a shadow. There is a lot of potential for this with a little better execution. |

Flaming Hibiscusby MagauvainComment by MarkRob: Crop out the green leaves and you would have a nice shot there. Also, look into The Rule of Thirds to add some zing to your composition. |

Flaming Hibiscusby MagauvainComment by dbenson: Good lighting and focus. Try offsetting your main subject a little to the left or right and see what you think. Picture a tic-tac-toe board and center your subject over one of the lines. In most cases, I think you will like it better. In this case move the flower to the right to fill some of the empty space. |

Flaming Hibiscusby MagauvainComment by ChrisW123: Should have cropped more on the flower, making it more the left which would leave out the leaves on the left. That would have been a pretty good pic like that. as is, a 7. Cropped, maybe a 8 or 9. |
