great action shot...perhaps a slightly faster shutter speed would have been better to really freeze the rider...as it is, the whole thing is blurry...I like the composition though

Next time try to go lower and try to have the second blacks from you sharp, the rest blury. You will see what's gonna happen.

The basic idea is sound, and the DOF is nice, but it seems like a background waiting for a subject.

There doesn't seem to be any particular point of interest where you've chosen to make the focus sharp. A hand, a metronome, or something attention-getting would add a lot to this shot.
