Did a good job with the flash here. The lighting is still a little flat, but it's not overly flat and the shadows are barely there. Some color and a better background would amp this up a lot!

Neat idea. I remember years ago my brother driving off with his camera (not in a bag) sitting on the lid of his boot (trunk). I jumped in with Dad and we followed him about 2 miles before we caught up, and the camera was still sitting there! The car was an Anglia - very horizontal boot.
Anyway, to get back to your photo - I like it a lot. Beautiful bokeh, I wonder what you'll come up with for that challenge? 9

It feels tilted to the right - which may have to do with the tree line and the sky only being in the top right side of the photo. Either way - I feel unbalanced.
