COMPOSITION
I think the composition of this shot is both interesting and strong. It is not everyday, you see "summer" flowers laying around in the snow! Great idea about not setting it back up. You definitely captured it in a much more interesting fashion. Also, have a flower in the top left, and in the lower right gives the shot a well-balanced complete feel to it. My only suggestion would be to crop it a little closer in the upper left, so that no snow was showing there either, and a little tighter on the upper right so the greenery isn't showing either. Overall, move the crop down and to the right so that less of the upper flower, and more of the lower one is showing.
TECHNIQUE
The overall picture seems a bit dark, but that could easily be my monitor. If the inside of the flowers could show a little more detail, I think it would be more effective. And it seems to be an outside shot, which would be primarily natural light, but the shadows make it look more artificial.
OVERALL EFFECT
I think you have a great idea here. The flowers in teh snow really add interest and show nice contrasts. One minor nitpick -- are those artificial flowers? Obviously, they aren't growing in a lot of people's flower garden right now, but I have found that real flowers do better than artificial ones, generally, if they can be found.
Good luck in the future.
