Lighting seems pretty dull here, as well as contrast. Maybe try a b&w conversion to help this one out along with a lot of contrast to make it pop more. Hope these comments helped, if you have any questions feel free to pm me.

This would benefit from a better layout of the candles, it seems like you just place them at random, maybe try lining up from tallest to shortest or vice versa. Different things like that can add a lot. Also a faster shutter speed could help. I'd like to see it a bit darker so that the flames aren't blown out. Just my advice. Interesting idea though.

The lighting is pretty harsh here and there isn't really a distinct area that my eye goes straight to. Still a nice shot though.

This doesn't seem to be a still life to me, and while I sorta understand the Christmas reference, it is more pink and green (based on what I am seeing) than red and green.

Next time you try a shot like this try using a smaller aperture, at least 11 I would say. Then you need a tripod, set the ISO to 200. It will make for a much sharper photo with more in focus. I like your set up and concept. This shot could have done alot better.
