I like this photo, but I can see that for a free-study challenge, it doesn't quite carry that 'wow' factor, the buildings need slightly better contrast i think, as the whole image looks quite bland. The colour of the water also looks somewhat artificial, almost too electric blue, whilst the focus seems to be the person, not the landscape. Perhaps a DoF that more took in the landscape of miami, with the paddleboarder as an 'extra' in the foreground and off centre would bring more to the image? Also, these shots always look better at dawn/dusk with nice lighting and shadows. Hope this helps to explain why this didn't get higher? (although it does seem harsh!)
