Good palindrome, good photo. Should do well, but lacks a bit of sharpness/clarity on the raspberry on the top which feels like where the eye should linger. This might stop it being one of the top shots.

How parliamentary! One of my favourite euphemisms, and I'm not even a journalist. One of the best shots of the challenge. Nice mixture of colours, good composition, and great use of depth of field. Fits the challenge perfectly too. I predict a top 5.

Best photograph in the challenge, yet I'm not quite understanding how this is a euphemism? (going on this definition - "A euphemism is the substitution of a mild, inoffensive, relatively uncontroversial phrase, for a frank expression that might offend or otherwise suggest something unpleasant to the audience". So I'm a bit torn on how to mark this...

Given the amount of positive comments, I am gobsmacked you only placed 84th. As seen from my previous comment, I was one of your 10's. I don't normally like photo's of kids or puppies and whatnot, but this was an outstanding shot. I'm not sure why people aren't seeing what I am seeing. Great stuff!

Priceless expression. I've only seen about 20 images in this challenge so far but already I'm going to predict your newbie in blue receives the blue. Outstanding shot. 10 (rare from me)

If there is a rock in this, it's buried under a stack of snow. I think the lack of a prominent element might hurt your score. I actually like the shot, despite the huge amount of white in the scene, it still feels balanced.

There are not many decent shots in this challenge. This one stands head and shoulders above the others. I particularly like the ethereal heart lights. The scuff on the bottom of the book on the left of the frame is a shame - it could of course be removed in advanced but alas not in basic. This will be front page for sure, and is my oick for the blue.
