No Way Outby babylonComment: This would be much more powerful if I could see the model's face a little better. The contrast is good, but the expression would be more apparent if the light side were lighter. Moving the light source to a position less behind the model might help. |

Spike a Drink by TranquilComment: Very nicely captured. The vivid background adds intensity to this image without detracting from the subject. This is one of my top picks in the challenge. |

A-TACK!!!!!by itripnComment: I think that this is the only image in the challenge that made me laugh. Nicely executed; the sword is an especially nice touch. |

Tacks to find the breeze.by banditComment: My initial comment was that I saw no tacks in this image. Since I've lived in the center of a continent all my life, the sailing reference was initially lost on me. Hopefully the voters won't penalized you too much for your alternative interpretation of the topic.
I can't decide whether I like the way this image is cropped . I'm inclined to say that there should be more sky, but the reflection of the mast adds a nice balanced feel to the image. Moving the waterline to the center of the frame would have increased the balance, but that might just add too much negative space. Anyway, thanks for adding variety to the challenge. |

War of the Tacksby sofapezComment: The black elements in the foreground blend in with the background. If your "terrain" were more shapely perhaps this would garner a higher vote. |

Dare to be Differentby L1Comment: The empty space on either side of the row of tacks seems odd. I think that this might have worked better if the row stretched past the edge of the frame. |
