I completely agree with jomari. Interesting though, since the other participants finished almost exactly in the order of my ofn preference - never seen such a close match before!
I guess the left hand kept other people from better appreciation. It is a bit disturbing indeed, but the left part of the photo more than makes up for it. Photography is art, not something done by the rule book.

The right side, where the shadows are up, works much better than the left side. Great idea, though.

black acrylate doesn't give you the double reflections

This is quite interesting: the photo before this one is the all blue Lord Byron thingy, so the eyes cannot see all shades of pink when coming here. Then one by one, more colours appear.

Did you notice the variance in the voting histogram? This nicely shows the controversiality. It's even three-modal - you don't see that often.

Definitely underrated. The audience prefers the sweet picture, apparently...

This one makes you think twic.. eh thric.. eh.. many times!
Once you get over the shock of not-a-nice-picture it conveys a exceedingly strong feeling of how the photographer (may have) felt when being there.

An extreme contribution that deserves an extreme score!

I don't reject lens flare as a general rule, but here it distracts from the strong shape of the ram
