My first impression of this image was a big WOW! It immediately brought back memories of the Pueblo summer solstice ceremonies in Chaco Canyon. The bright colors and action, along with that excellent expression and blue eyes just grabs my attention.
Really nice composition, you have the major attention point directly on a rule-of-thirds line intersection, and you have managed to create an interesting leading line from the group of people trailing off to the upper right corner.
Your subject matter couldn't be more interesting (to me). I just love the action and vibrancy of these people, it looks for all the world as if they were truly having the time of their lives.
I love the focus here, super sharp on the foreground face, and wonderfully soft everywhere else.. Really, really good way to do this... Noise is almost non-existent, and the low key exposure is really appealing here (I do like low key, so I'm probably slightly biased)..
You have created an excellent image, and it certainly deserves to have finished as well, if not better, than it did. You hear quite a few people talking about this mysterious thing called impact... Well, this image has it.
