Zen And The Art of Motorcycle Maintenanceby IchristfollowerComment: I so need to finish this book . . . nice shot, appropriately soft yet very good focus in all the right places! I imagine that is a very difficult combination to pull off, I must try for myself :) Please let me know if effect is either PP or a well-executed focus technique. |

Inkheartby Kevin_FlynnComment: Great exposure/lighting/setup/idea, but IMHO the composition is a bit off. |

The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, by Douglas Adamsby Osiris1975Comment: Love the look, and bonus points for picking a Douglas Adams piece that is actually BETTER than his more well-known fare :) One of my favorite books, indeed! This shot is fantastic, and completely embraces the TITLE of the book, so don't get me wrong, but it is unfortunate that you couldn't do one more related to the CONTENT of the book due to the fact that pretty much no one would "get it" unless they had read it, so delightfully bizzarre as it is! |

Splash by elsapoComment: It's interesting that, when the picture is viewed as would normally be seen (i.e. as a thumbnail/icon), the dissolving effect is even more striking! |

Be More Optimistic?by GeneralEComment: Thank god for avanced editing! else i don't think you could've pulled this together! Seriously, though, this is one of those that I can't judge on first take. I gotta come back like two or three times, asceticism does not take immediate root with me . . .and the question mark is throwing me off :)
After another look, I realized that this definitely has merit because it got me wanting to come back and to think about it, but I can't help but wonder if that is due to the context of the challenge not specifically being met by this entry which is unquestionably unique compared to the other submissions. So yes it has transient quality properties, but I doubt that I would be all that thoughtful about it if it were on its own. Good job, though, bc sometimes success is all about being different than contemporaries even at the sacrifice of actual content. |

wake up early and go to bed lateby jmritzComment: I have long wanted a schedule that begins late evening and ends early/mid morn. What interesting hours, I'd like to do it for a little bit. Oh, and, nice shot :) |

Get In Shapeby tangueraComment: If this is a self-portrait, then you've got some SERIOUS body dysmorphia . . . btw, could you post a transcript of his tattoo? |
