Southern Jacarandaby BrianRComment: I really love these trees, they are quite unusual around here, but they are very beautiful to the point I think we are going to try and make one grow. Thanks for sharing with us this incredible view! (bumped the score)
ETA: If you could take a photo of those at morning, with a pinkish sky, I think you would get really something fantastic! |

Caravaggio Expressby mcaldoComment: I really like that photo. The crop is golden, in every sense of the word. Moreover, the blur really works well here, and the tones are perfect for rendering this mood. The mother in the darkness is fabulous, as well as the child's expression. My only concern would be about the colored noise: it's a little bit disturbing, I think I would have preferred a monochromatic noise instead, but I'm nitpicking. Again, great photo, and a perfect illustration of the challenge. |

I Bleed To Know That I Am Aliveby MinsoPhotoComment: That one is very good. The depth of field really adds here, and the composition absolutely fits the challenge (one of the few!). I obviously also love the creativity! |

Sunday Morningby PaulComment: Very good photo, there is a very nice feel to it: simple, joyful, charmful! Also, it perfectly fits the challenge: the crop and composition are perfect. The depth of field also works great here, and leads even more to the focus point (not that it was needed anyway :-)). Great job! |

Dizzy Blonde (Chick)by ErinKirstenComment: I love this one :-) Very fun and creative. My only concern is... why not use a golden ratio crop? Would have been perfect. Very good nonetheless! |

Annabelle Leeby melodicgraceComment: Nice evocation of this poem, the model perfectly fits the role. I don't like the texture though, I suppose it is there to add an "old" feeling, but the parallel lines are... well, too parallel for that. Also, I would have lit the face a little bit more, so that the dress was not the brightest element, grabbing probably the attention a bit much. Great job nonetheless! |

Lenore's Avenging Angel Recruits Raven... The Prequelby hahn23Comment: Very nice! I like how the lighting is consistent here. The weak point would probably be the Angel, since it doesn't look at the raven, and is obviously a statue. What I usually do when using figurines or statue, is to try and texture them so that they look "realistic", at least more than the toy by itself. Good job nonetheless, I like it! |

The Masque of the Red Death - 1845by CNovackComment: I really like the painterly feeling, great work. The castle especially is very well integrated in the scene, and the dark colors really adds to the atmosphere. |

Vondervotteimittissby SunnyHillsCirComment: Very nice one! Great job! I love how your picture evoke the whole story of Vondervotteimittiss. The light on the house is perhaps a bit flat, and the colors in the sky a bit saturated, but it doesn't bother me much. |
