unendingby wetlandComment: Just enough information to hold my attention, yet not enough to really identify the thing being photographed makes for a good abstract. I like the grain, too. |

Purple Rainby moodvilleComment: There are so many beautiful abstracts in this challenge, it's hard to pick a favorite. This is one of my favorites so far. Wonderful control of all the important techniques. The choice of color is perfect. It soothes instead of distracts so the viewer can enjoy the shape and texture of the composition. Nit, the soft focus on the left side, but not a fatal flaw. |

Midwest Field Cornby scrum8Comment: I think I know what you were going for, impressionistic abstract, and the attempt is OK. The dof works well. I would love to have seen at least one thing in focus. The colors look hazy. Maybe pumping up the saturation would give it more punch. This is a pleasing picture to look at though. |

Escherby crabappl3Comment: It is like some of his paintings! To me there are just too many squares for this to be an effective art image. The area on the right has shapes that transition nicely to fish. You might consider getting closer using the same angle and isolating them. This would make a good background stock image. |

Hole to Infinityby JackoComment: Cool idea. Really creative! At first I thought you did this with a computer, then I saw where they overlap. This would have been a fine contender if it was cleaned up a bit. The hole is really jaggy and the edges of the picture are really noisy. Did you try getting the hole more round? |

Where did I put that bottle?by jfaulknerComment: I don't get the title, it's a pretty picture though. It doesn't convey the feeling of infinity. I think it's because I can see the land on the other side and the title is telling me to look at the water. Hope you can understand what I'm trying to say. |

Seemingly Endless Tracksby dacrazyrnComment: Like the composition. and the point of view angle.
There is so much grain, I can't help but think you added it. The problem with adding grain is you take a hit in sharpness. With this picture, it's a toss up. I think I would have liked to see it sharp. You might consider volunteering it to the post processing thread. It would be interesting to see different treatments. |

Infinite Shadeby vonautschComment: Interesting abstract. I would like to see it with more of a dynamic range. Good composition, prospective and dof. |

The Sands Of Time by QuadrajetComment: This is really good. Like the use of the lighting to suggest night and day. The composition is effective and the focus is perfect. |
