Interesting, but the light/color is a bit harsh for me, and the object may be out of place, but doesnt portray 'alone', or solitutude to me. But I can see where you're coming from.

Very nice, the person seems to be looking for someone, works for me. The sunlit shapes on the right of the person are a bit distracting, and i'd have tried to get the camera out in the middle of the 'shaft' a bit more (of course, that might have been dangerous!)

Not a bad shadow shot, but the composition doesnt gel with me - the skiier might be alone, but the photo doesnt show or enhance that feeling.

Great photo, I too thought you'd place higher. Considering how many people commented on how they got the feeling of falling just looking at the pic, you definitely should have gotten higher. Well done!

Urban Landscapes Are All The Same

Very nice, I like the consistent geometry; I was going to try something like this, but couldnt find the right spot.
If it were possible, a shot taken from above the houses, and maybe a bit closer to the front (but not quite) might have displayed the repeating geometry to greater effect. As it is, the road takes up a little too much, to my liking.
Well done. High score.
