I contemplated this idea myself for this challenge and made a picture that I did not submit (yours is better) - we'll discuss more when you are out of anonymity. It's one of the few times when the border makes sense and gives a feel of finality and determination. 8

This is a beautiful story. I miss a focal point though (I tend to look more at the hat). The photo is a bit even but being a witness of the past it goes beyond the "lonely shoes" task. Top 10, or top 5.

Truly amazing. Such delicate grey scale with masterly processing. Everything is reticent: the tree has deference to the clouds, the elephant to the tree and hopefully to you ....
