Peinture de paysageby bubeltrubelComment: On revisiting this image I was struck by the tree looking at its peak blossom (very close to an atomic bomb, thanks to deftly pp!). The image has therefore an ominous feel seeming to be taken just a minute before an imminent event that would destroy this serenity forever. 8 |

Mirageby tangueraComment: This photo is in part of my favorites already and revisiting it I realized that it's a perfect Morandi, without his bottles. |

Cycle of Beauty 2by NeilComment: Since you had a picture dedicated to Vincent, let's call this one "Homage to Corot"! |

Gangstaby HipychikComment: Oh boy! That's frightening. A spectacular photo. Reminds me of an old Italian movie, Antonioni's Blow Up. The color, the darkness of the bushes ... the burnt grass. A great photo! |

Donovan's Brainby posthumousComment: This picture goes to my favorites. Congratulations Don! This image probably meats by far the movie (I'll ignore it).
As one of the two 10 marks was mine, I have this impish/childish curiosity to know whose was the other one. No 9 and then three shy 8. One can tell that I am new to DPC and still struggle with the vote of the majority, ribbons, postings ...! |

Salk I Kahn by LevTComment: Kahn himself counted on this photo being taken over and over again. This was his dream for his design. There are numerous pictures shot exactly from the same vintage point etc. - there is the beautiful 2003 movie also "My Architect". And your photo stands proud among all of the other ones. You captured beautifully this impeccable calmness. Some photos had the sun at the exact vanishing point. I like very much your off centered person and the guiled timelessness of your photo. Thanks. |

Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" by Bear_MusicComment: This is the first time that my vote coincides with the majority! Hmmm, something must be fishy ..... or is it that there are "images without borders". Doubt it. Congratulation for bringing the majority in unison! And, of course, for the wicked bird! |

I like youby jmritzComment: The oversized silhouette kills for me the nice balance of the image. So does the greenish hue, too chromatic in this case |
