Sophie Portraitby PaulComment: The strands of hair lead one's eyes to the mouth and from there back up to the eye, a full circle. Great portrait. |

Nebula by jjbeguinComment: Clever. Not my favorite brush but, who really cares? It's still missing something for me. Perhaps it needs more cropping? Would make a good wall paper. 7 |

More Than All the Thingsby xianartComment: It's supposed to be "an item". If it's bread, so be it. I am with you. I would have liked the greedy eye to be more in focus. 7 |

My Nemesisby jmritzComment: This is a beautiful photo on its own (8 form me) but it could be submitted to multiple challenge.
I experience more and more saturation with these type of photos, as interesting or beautiful as they are, they tend to be "post Gerhard Richter".
Perhaps a better place for them would be in a different kind of challenge, with a pure bend towards mixed media. In which case they would get the proper consideration.
This is by no means a criticism to this particular image but to a trend that I saw for the month and a half that I am on this site, therefore, in all fairness, I will copy and paste this comment to all related photos.
Please do not consider me rude or with primitive tastes. I just want to do justice, at least in my mind, to each image and appreciate it for its uniqueness in the context in which it is presented. |

Starlightby gsalComment: I hope that by the time people go back to see the results of this challenge they will realize how under appreciated was this portrait. Must be some ill spell with it because even I tried to make this comment twice and did not appear so, I try again!
The picture is almost Bergmanesque, there could be an entire film script inspired by it. I still think of it in the top 10 and I place it in my favorites. You got an average of 8 from the 6 commenters and that's a very nice harvest though, unless I miss some mathematical facts. |

Snow Trainby npaselComment: This challenge had a lot of great photos and yours got an 8 from me. Of course that it brought me in mind Anna Karenina ...., but I spared you of my fantasies. I would have reduced the sky a little for a more ominous look. |

Dutch "Polder" Landscapeby ThingFishComment: Very hard to choose among your choices for this challenge. And with such timeless beauty surrounding you! I think that you have to go to the neighbouring countries to get a cliff, not to mention a mountain but you are doing "just fine"! Your lonely tree and Christmas in My Hometown, to mention just a few, are amazing photos. This one, more modest is still a jewel. |
