Birds and Fogiesby ZoomdakComment: No doubt,  Zoomdak's ribbon winning "Aperture" was the inspiration for this photo. Unfortunately, it falls way short of that fine image. The composition is okay, but the lighting is dull and the flocks of birds are very distracting. It's also difficult to tell what these people are doing in the shot. |

The Gatesby NeilComment: I'm sorry, but this looks like yet another victim of the HDR plague. However, even with good processing the photo still wouldn't score very highly with me because the subject and setting are rather dull and uninteresting. |

Endless Summerby AnnComment: Great photo Ann! I was hoping it would score much higher, possibly even get a ribbon. However, with the voting as skewed as it is, what can you expect?
I may be a bit prejudiced because I used to surf here, and I lived just a few blocks away, but I still think it's a very good photo.
