The Ballerinaby JopsyDaisyComment: Beautiful. I love the mix of textures; the grass, the toule of the dress, the more defined, darkened trees in the background. My only wish is that I could see a bit more of her. Specifically, her feet seem 'amputated' by the tall grass. Howeves, if the viewer saw her feet, it would prolly have destroyed this particular vantage point which i dig. This comment is more of a thought, less of a critique... hope this does well. :) |

Planet Earth: Solid Pewter Skyby Dr.ConfuserComment: Nice coloring & tone. Feels simultaneously dark & soft. I looked at this for several moments before even noticing the water- interesting choice of crop to only give 1/10th of the image to the water? The main black cloud reminds me of the 'the nothing' via 'The Never Ending Story' |

Le President, Cajarc, Le Lotby jagarComment: My fav part of this shot is how the guy in the background is giving someone (you?) the side eye! I like this shot- great shadows- interesting/ real life moment- perspective. |

Four Aces Diner, Palmdale, CAby tangueraComment: I like both shots of this place that have been entered into this challenge! I like how the sun burst frames the left of this image highlighting the contrast of the shadow filled right. I dig the slimy greens & the way the florescent bulbs highlight that tone. Feels very 'Natural Born Killers' (the snake juice scene to be specific) to me... |

Main Street Diner, Plainville, CTby caseyfaceComment: I really like the simplicity here. It feels authentic, not a diner that shouts 'Hey!!! We're a throw back to the 50's!!!' But rather a place where locals truly gather. Easy to look at- and I like the choice in a long crop. |

Burger and a Showby aircooledguyComment: I like the choice to shoot this challenge in a more photo journalistic attitude. Howeves- it feels a little blown out/ hot. Also- not sure exactly what the 'show' is? What is the action? Unless the mere presence of the sheriffs is the action? |

Diner by AllenPComment: I love this image- looks like a motion picture still. Maintains a dingy feel while the brightness of the sun set and green of the building hold my interest. I also like the choice of crop- leaving so much concrete- gives the viewer a very specific perspective. |
