Earth and Skyby RasaiComment: very pretty shot with lots of nice colors but I'm forced to ask where the earth? Without the earth in the shot as a noticable element Iam unable to associate this with separation.. As is without the title I would have no clue what separation you were trying to portray. No separation but a great shot. 6 |

"Discombobulated"by jemisonComment: wooo hoo one of my favorite words in the english language.. and it dosn't fit an a scrabble board.. I feel that your shot represents the feeling of discombobulation and separation very well. You may get voted down for it abstract apearance but you get a 9 from me. |

Segregationby fotodudeComment: Not bad just looks like the same shot I've seen before. perhaps a broader veiw with the pawn sepated from the rest of the peices would have worked better for me.. As is the DOF is to shallow. I want to see the other peices. It's a little too dark and the chess board shot from the side at a 30- 45 degree angle seems to have been way over done. I don't mean to sound harsh but hwen you here even the best of songs on the radio fifteen times a day everyday.. it gets a bit old.. technicaly not a bad photo. I just can't get interested in it. 5 to remain non bias agaist chess boards. |

Seperated yet not apartby awpollardComment: A majority of the shot is great. The biggest thing that gets my attention as being off is the man. He is waaaaaayy too soft. he apears to be bleeding into the rest of the shot.. other that that its a great shot. The sand a water look great. The pose is pretty good. I think i would like too have seen his face a little though. .. could have been a great shot.. but with the bleeding I can only say it's pretty good |

I have to go for a while, Honey!by Moose101Comment: Not a very flattering shot IMO. However the lighting and sapia tones are nice. Good crisp focus and lots of contrast. In general the shot is great. I feel however that without the title I get no feeling of separation. perhaps if they were separated with the child reacing out for his mother it would ahve worked alot better for me.. as is the separation is weak. The pse is also unflatering the angle look akward on the woman. The childs face looks a little weird.. no offence to the kid or his parents. .. I'm pretty sure it's just the angle.. different set up and this would have nailed me for a 9 or 10 as is .. better than most but not quite a ribbon. |

separated not by distance - rather , through the way we areby claudia26Comment: ackward and not apealing to me.. the harsh colors of the tree just do not set well for me. While it is an interesting shot I don't feel it fitts the challenge. Without the title I would have no clue what you were thinking. With the title I feel its a pretty weak connection. As for the shot itself I feel that more natural lookin wood would have looked better. Or perhaps even a shot from futher way leaving the whole tree as a silloutte. |

The End at the Beachby FleximusComment: I like it the green and red contrast .. the two walking away from each other. The look on her face.. This is a shot with a story to tell I like the concept. However there are a few things I don't care for as well the line going across the top of the girls hair. The rocks also are difficult too look at out of focus. I fully understand the reason for having the boy out of focus but it just dosn't work well for me.. Great shot with a couple of little imperfections.. gets an 8 from me |

Ultimate Separation by marboComment: ooooh pretty. I like this shot very nice scenery, wonderfull clouds I think I could realy enjoy the separation that the pilot seems to have from the world up there. Great idea and very nicely executed.. on of my top picks of the challenge. |

sharing halvesby clictacameraComment: I don't get the sharing halves. But I do however see the separation. I feel this is a bit dull and lifeless as is .. The colors don't pop very well. and the apple is taking on a yellow tinge. maybe my mind is just swimming in the gutter but this seems to have a strong sexual conatation. If so neat.. if not...umm i don't know what im talking about.... |

Petal by Petalby soupComment: Interesting and unusual. The first thing that strikes me as being off is the top leaf looks to out of focus.. It meets the challenge IMO but feels a little of. otherwise nice colors, for the most part it's crisp and in focus. There are no shadows on your nice white back ground.. not a bad shot at all.. it just doeas not move me emotionaly so i'll give you a 7. |
