The Poet's Darlingby jamminjjComment: The pewter look is pretty cool. Buy my eyes keep going to the empty space in the middle/bottom rather than any of the flowers. |

Partly Cloudyby sharveyComment: I like all the lines, especially on the ground. Mountains, town, trees, road. |

Monster Stormby postoakinversionComment: Very cool. I like how we can clearly see the cloud in front against the cloud in back (on the left). I think I want more detail in the houses. Excellent choice for b&w - it really makes the storm clouds more ominous. |

Sit. Relax.by jimmythefishComment: My eyes are drawn more to the trees than to the bench; it's almost lost in the brush. The dark lighting can be a nice effect, but judging from your title, that doesn't seem to be what you were after here. |

One Day Old - Wild Atlantic Grey Seal Pupby FalcComment: The pup's fur is probably soft enough without having to soften it on purpose. Or is it slightly out of focus? The details of the fur would look great in this b&w shot. I like the framing and you've captured a very cute look on its face. |

First Impressionby Rando D300Comment: Thank you for a different take on a puppy shot. I think there's too much headroom; maybe crop it lower. I like how your subjects pop out against the background. |

The Long Road Home (by Danielle Steel)by TwocentzComment: Nice composition, but I think there needs to be more variety in the lighting/brightness. Everything seems to be pretty much of the same brightness, so the whole thing seems to be washed out. |

Akula the Black Birdby jab119Comment: I can't make out much of the face, especially compared to the beak. I do like the choice of a black background and your using it for negative space. 7 |

Crossroads of Twilight (By Robert Jordan)by guobinComment: Well this certainly has nothing at all to do with the book (is that series *ever* going to end?), but it definitely fits for this challenge. I like the contrast of the cars sitting with the motion suggested by the headlights. I like the crop, too. 7 |
